November is  Homelessness Awareness Month and everyone can play a part in ending homelessness...you can provide a meal at a shelter, donate a toy at our Toy Drive, assemble Care Kits to provide essentials, volunteer for a Care Day to paint or clean up landscaping at a shelter, donate materials to one of our shelter "builds" or make a donation to HomeAid.   Contact us today to see how you can help !

At HomeAid, we continue to partner with service providers who have little funding for new and remodeled shelters and instead focus their precious resources on food and services for the Bay Area homeless.   Because of your support, we can do what we do best and build the shelters and facilities that provide dignified housing and assistance the Bay Area homeless.

On November 15th, HomeAid is proud to hold our Annual Toy Drive in partnership with the BIA Bay Area PASS Committee!

Bring a toy to the BIA PASS event or to our office and receive a raffle ticket at the PASS event!  Here is a list of toys needed .

Over 1,800 people joined together for a live concert with country music star Lee Brice, to raise nearly $200,000 towards HomeAid Northern California's goal to end homelessness. The Bell Brothers opened the show to get everyone on their feet to enjoy the show. 
 
This special evening of entertainment raised nearly $200,000 in funding for the building of additional HomeAid shelters for the homeless.  A Live Appeal for the DreamCatcher shelter for homeless teens successfully raised $30,000 towards this critically important project.   Thank you to all of our Sponsors & Donors. 



Oma Village Novato Grand Opening!
$1,400,000 of In-Kind Donations
Community leaders and supporters celebrated Oma Village as a model for affordable housing on Oct. 19, when the Grand Opening Party attracted more than 300 people to applaud this new program for 14 homeless families.
 
"Every one of these 14 units is going to be transformative for a family as they turn their lives around," Congressman Jared Huffman told guests at the event. "We've got a critical need for more."

HomeAid Northern California partnered with Richmond American Homes and The New Home Company to build these 14 affordable apartments for formerly homeless families. Homeward Bound of Marin will manage and operate Oma Village.  Thank you to   everyone who donated and supported this critical housing community.
