A Post-Election Pastoral Letter
Working for a Better, Fairer World
"...Our work as those who follow God in the way of Jesus continues. We trust in God's grace to strengthen us for our witness and proclaim that our labors will not be in vain," wrote the Fourth Church pastoral staff in a post-election letter emailed to the congregation yesterday. Gratitude for Shining Lights
Thank You for Your 2017 Pledge!
We would like to give a huge thank-you to those who have made pledges to the 2017 Annual Appeal for Fourth Presbyterian Church and Chicago Lights. Because of the generosity of so many we are 68 percent of the way to our 2017 Annual Appeal goal of $3 million for Fourth Church and 87 percent of the way to our $500,000 goal for Chicago Lights--and we are 45 percent of the way to our goal of having 1,200 households pledging for 2017!
As an expression of our gratitude, there will be a special Coffee Hour after morning worship services this Sunday hosted by the Resource Development Committee. We hope everyone will join us as we celebrate all that we can do together in living out our call to love and serve.
For all you do, in so many ways, to make it possible for all of us together to continue to be a light shining in the city, thank you!

Fourth Church a Great Place to Work!
We are honored that Fourth Presbyterian Church has been named one of the Top 100 Workplaces in Chicago by the Chicago Tribune, which is denoted by the banner on display in the Commons! Almost 250 organizations applied for this distinction, and Fourth Church received 29th place in the "small organization" category.
We are proud of this achievement and look forward to maintaining our organization as a top workplace in the years to come.
