Turkey Day 5K - Nov. 24

Thanksgiving = run, eat, and sleep! Join the fourth annual Thanksgiving Day 5K Run/Walk through Power Ranch. Event registration and check in begins at 6:30 a.m. Racing starts at 8 a.m. This charity event takes place rain or shine along the paths of our community. Adults $20; Kids $12. Mine, Craft, Build Pre-Engineering using LEGO

PR Angels Committee Meeting - Nov. 29

We are ready to begin working on the community's holiday Angel Tree program for residents who need extra assistance this season. The coordination meeting is Tues., Nov. 29, at 6 p.m.  We are also asking for help spreading the word to families who may need help. 
Flu Shots at the Farmer's Market - Nov. 30

Plan to beat the flu season by getting immunized at the Power Ranch Barn during our Wednesday Farmer's Market. A community flu clinic is being offered by our neighborhood Sam's Club on Market Street. Power Ranch Cycling Group

Interested in joining a Power Ranch cycling club that takes off from the Barn or the Ranch House on Saturday mornings? Looking for beginning/intermediate cyclists interested in riding 25 to 30 miles at about a 15 MPH pace. If you aren't quite up to those numbers we can start at the comfort level of the group. Classic Movie of the Month - December

All month long the Clubhouse is featuring the movie, Elf. You can check it out at the registration desk and watch it on your own, or join us for the formal showing on the last weekday of the month at 10:30 a.m. or 5:30 p.m. Popcorn provided. Just drop in.

There are families in our very own community who are struggling during the holiday season. The Power Ranch Angels are seeing to it that no one is forgotten. Drop by the Carriage House, 4546 E. Holiday Bliss Boutique - Dec. 3

Save the date! You won't need to travel far to shop for something handmade, vintage, chippy, or sparkly during this holiday season. The Power Ranch Barn and event lawn will be filled with more than 75 local artists, crafters, and vendors selling everything from hand painted signs to quilts. Need something machine embroidered? Bring it along and have it done on site. Entrance is $2 per person and includes a raffle ticket for the chance to win a prize provided by each of the vendors. All proceeds going to Power Ranch and Centennial Elementary Schools. Extra raffle tickets available for sale at the event. 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Grab a few friends for a little shopping and brunch!

Early Release Wed: Ornament - Dec. 7

Spend an hour at the Ranch House Clubhouse Wednesday after school making a classic holiday sled ornament. Jordyn will teach you everything you need to make your very own design. $3. Kids must be registered in advance to attend. Ages 7 and older. 1:30 to 2:30 p.m.
Polar Express - Dec. 10

The Polar Express train rolls into Power Ranch for this annual holiday event. Kids only: $6 pre-sale wristbands (includes snow play area, sledding hill, cookie decorating, bounce house, Home Depot toy workshop, celebrity character visits, crafts, and activities.

Pizza and Paint - Dec. 17

Paint your own masterpiece with the assistance of Brushworks Studio. All the materials are included - including the pizza and drink! You will be an artist in no time! STEM Challenge with LEGO - Dec. 27-29

Ages 7 to 12. Power on your engineering skills with Play-Well TEKnologies and tens of thousands of LEGO®! Apply real world  concepts in physics, engineering, and architecture through engineer-designed projects such as catapults, p neumatic cranes, arch bridges, and battletracks! Design and build as never before, and explore your craziest  ideas in a supportive environment. Chess Tournament - Dec. 29

This fun holiday chess tournament is perfect for kids. Tournament is run by chess master and instructor Joan Olivera. Sections open for grades K-3 and 4 - 9. Tourney consists of four rounds, G/25 (25 minutes/side). Rounds begin at 10 a.m., 11 a.m. 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. Bring lunch. Trophies to top three winners in each section, and medals to the rest of the participants. Registration fee $15 (by Nov. 25); $20 (by Dec. 28); and $25 at the door. Homeschooling Connections - Ongoing

Are you homeschooling Pre-K through 12? Consider attending the following activities with people from our commun ity. There are many fun things to do for all ages. Drop In Pickleball - On Break

Horseshoe Pits - Ongoing

There is a horseshoe pit near the intersection of Chisum Lane and S. Luiseno Blvd in the Villages neighborhood. It is located in the green area between Trigger Way and Chisum, closer to Luiseno. Bring your shoes and start playing. Completely informal and a fun way to meet your neighbors.
Drop In Volleyball - Ongoing

Let's bump, set and spike! Drop-in volleyball is every Tuesday, beginning at 6:30 p.m. Stop by the Ranch House volleyball court and find other volleyball-lovers willing to start up a game. This court does have a misting system. Check in the office for more information about how to turn it on and off.
Tennis Courts - Ongoing

Two, lighted tennis courts in the Arbors neighborhood are available to all residents. One of the courts can now accommodate Pickleball. The brass key will get you in, and you need to keep it with you to get out. No restroom facilities available. Schedule posted on court if an event is planned.
Fishing
Catch and Release Fishing - Ongoing

The lakes at the Barn and Ranch House are available to all residents for catch and release fishing. Hooks must be barbless and fish must be returned to the lake. Dispose of fishing line properly to protect wildlife. Watercraft prohibited. Required permits available in the Carriage House during office hours. Fish include: Grass Carp, White Amur, Catfish, Tilapia, and Koi.
Cards and Games Club - Ongoing

Join the Power Players in the Carriage House (NEW LOCATION) and play cards, dominoes, and now bridge! Drop in Tuesday, 1 to 4 p.m. or Thursday 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Games vary. We are happy to teach you to play something new. No commitment required. Bring a friend or come and meet someone new. Bring your pool card to get in the door.

Senior Yoga - Daily at 10:30 a.m.

Try a session of therapeutic yoga to exercise your mind, body, and soul. J oin us in the Barn. Great if you have an injury, surgery, or illness. Do yoga on the floor or in a chair. Yoga in the Barn - Tuesday Nights 

No class Oct. 4. All levels! Yoga uses breath control, simple meditation, and the adoption of specific bodily postures. It is a widely practiced for health and relaxation. Ranch House and Barn Swimming Pools 

The Ranch House pool is heated year-round to 82 degrees using solar power from the adjacent ramadas. The Barn pool is not heated and has flower and bucket aerators to help keep the water temperature cool in the summer. Pool hours are M-F 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. and 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. on weekends and holidays. No lifeguard. Under 14 must be supervised by an adult older than 18 years old. Children not potty trained must wear a swim diaper. Pools can close for 24 to 48 hours without notice. No swimming in lightning.
Power Ranch Community Library 

Visit the abundant Power Ranch Community Library in the Carriage House, 4546 E. Haven Crest Drive. Open during office hours, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The library features popular fiction, non-fiction, and children's books of all genres. There is something for everyone. Donations accepted. FREE. Volunteers are needed to help with the library.
Shredding Service

Free, do-it-yourself, paper shredding in the Carriage House, Monday - Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The secured drop box has a letter-sized slot to feed documents. It can not be opened by staff. Perfect for confidential, personal, and private information. Paper documents only, no manila files, heavy cardboard, metal paper clips or staples.
SRP Energy Analyzer - Kill A Watt

Borrow a Kill A Watt meter from the Power Ranch Community Library to find out how much energy your household appliances and electronics use. Learn which appliances are energy vampires even when you have them turned off. Once you know how much energy your appliances are using, you can take action to reduce your energy usage and lower your monthly energy bills. Ranch House Clubhouse

The newly renovated Ranch House Clubhouse is a wonderfully inviting, industrial chic space for everyone in the Power Ranch community to use. Whether you use the wifi and enjoy a cup of coffee in the display kitchen, play a movie or video games in the high tech media room, join a fitness class in the fitness studio with TNT Family Fitness, join a foosball or ping pong tournament, hang out by the cozy fireplace with a good book, or schedule a meeting in the flexible space - there is some place for everyone. Clubhouse hours: Monday - Friday from 10 a.m. - 7 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. You will need your pool access card to enter the building.
