Assalamu Alaikum

Dear Family & Friends of ICSC,

We hope you are having a blessed and uplifting Thanksgiving weekend with your loved ones! This is a special time of year to celebrate and express gratitude for all God has blessed us with.

"I am so grateful for my spiritual community here at the Islamic Center," says Hassan Zeenni, Chair of the ICSC Religious Services Committee. "From deep reflections together during Ramadan Spiritual Nights to smiling faces welcoming our Open Mosque Day visitors, to the ways our youth have grown and become leaders in the mosque, to building fruitful partnerships with our civic and interfaith partners in events like last weekend's #IAmAmerica Vigil that have spread across our city and country. I am so grateful for the dedication and support from each and every one of you."

Give thanks at jumma'a today, when Br. Hassan will give the khutba (sermon). Also note, Sunday School/Sunday Program will be closed this weekend in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday. Instead, we hope you'll consider joining the L.A. Council of Religious Leaders this Sunday at 4:30pm for a special multi-faith service of prayer, meditation, reflection and solidarity in these uncertain times (See "Upcoming Events" section below for details.)

In peace,
Islamic Center of Southern California

FaithsGiving at Pico Union
ICSC partnered with Pico Union Project and other L.A. nonprofit organizations to hold a FaithsGiving  experience for approximately 30 Christians, Jews and Muslims. Together, they handed out 100+ turkeys and 1000+ lbs of produce to local residents. The guests learned about each other's prayer traditions and had awesome conversations over dinner. A new tradition is born!
Faces lit up as neighborhood friends greeted us with free hugs, donuts and flowers following jumma'a on Nov. 18.
Prayer Times prayers
We are open for prayers five times a day, every day. The iqama is ten minutes after the athan is called.  You can find prayer times on our  website .
