In 2007, C.T. Hsu + Associates master planned Valencia College's public safety campus and the design of its first building, the 77,000 SF Criminal Justice Institute. Orlando City Soccer Stadium Completion-
CTH+A became part of Orlando sports history earlier this year, serving as associate architect to Orlando City Stadium designer Populous. The firm's work on the project included detailing and development of the stadium's exterior envelope. The new home for the Orlando City men's and women's professional soccer teams has been described as "the biggest, loudest and proudest soccer-specific stadium in all of Major League Soccer."

Design and Construction Begin for OCPS' Hillcrest Elementary School  - Orange County Public Schools kicked off the design and construction of a new two-story campus for downtown Orlando's Hillcrest Elementary School in April. CTH+A is the architect for the project that is slated for completion in June 2018. "The school's Foreign Language Academy has been a strong academic presence for so many years and, after construction, the facility will be as high quality as the learning opportunities the school offers," said Nancy Robbinson, Orange County School Board-District 6.
 
Design Begins for OCPS' Corner Lake Middle School - CTH+A has begun its design phase for the comprehensive renovation of Corner Lake Middle School in Orange County. Originally built in 1997, project is scheduled for completion in July 2019 and will accommodate 1,156 students. The $12 million project includes the renovation of 168,000 SF of existing space including classroom, administration, gymnasium, kitchen/dining, art/music/agriculture and media center buildings as well as the school's athletic courts, track and field areas, parking lot and bus loop.

Design Begins for City of Inverness Lakefront Depot Pavilion and Train Station  - The firm has begun design work for the $1.8 million lakefront Depot Pavilion and Train Station in Inverness, Fla. (Read More...)

C.T. Hsu Helps Bring AIA Convention to Orlando
In April, Orlando hosted the American Institute of Architects' national convention, attended by more than 16,000 people who produced an estimated $23.4 million in economic impact for the region. Firm President C.T. Hsu spearheaded the decade-long bid to bring the AIA convention back to Orlando after a 30-year absence at the personal request of then-executive director of the Orange County Convention Center Tom Ackert.
  
 
 Ashley Vevera  joined the firm as an Intern Architect. A local graduate of Dr. Phillips High School, Ashley earned her Bachelor of Design in Architecture degree from the University of Central Florida in May, and intends to pursue a Master's degree in architecture next year. Her volunteer activities include working with Give Kids the World and Relay for Life.
