Sand to Snow National Monument Stewardship Event

Saturday December 3, 2016 8:30am-2pm

Please Join MDLT and the BLM Barstow Field Office for a day of clean-up and restoration in the Sand to Snow National Monument. The Hondo Wash area has a large amount of debris including tires that will be removed. Additionally, volunteers will be utilizing vertical and horizontal mulch techniques to camouflage illegal off road vehicle trails in the vicinity.

Please bring a brown bag lunch, gloves, sunglasses (eye protection), long sleeved shirt, long pants, sunscreen, wide brim hat, and sturdy boots. Snacks and water will be provided.

Please CLICK HERE FOR DIRECTIONS to the site from MDLT's Headquarters. A registration table will be set up to greet you.

A guided hike within the Sand to Snow National Monument will be organized at a later date for all volunteers that attend. Please stay tuned for details.
