Legislative Update - November 2016
With Election Day tomorrow, we are looking forward to Congress returning to session, and we are continuing to plan for our wor capital k with the new administration and Congress next year. In the meantime, we want to bring your attention to a few opportunities throughout the month of November.

JFNA and JCPA Post Election Conference Call - November 9th at 1 PM EST

Federal Mental Health Reform Webinar - November 17th at 12 PM EST
Join The Jewish Federation of North America's Strategic Health Resource Center on November 17th from 12 to 1 PM EST for a webinar on federal mental health reform efforts. Speakers will address how these legislative proposals and major changes already occurring across the health care system may impact Jewish family & children's agencies providing mental health and substance use services. JFNA's Public Policy Survey - DEADLINE EXTENDED to November 18th 
Each year, JFNA distributes an annual public policy survey to federations across the country that is used to create JFNA's public policy priorities for the next year.  Here  are JFNA's priorities for 2016. These priorities drive the JFNA Washington Office's work and directly correlate to what advocacy takes place on Capitol Hill and with the administration on behalf of federations and AJFCA and IAJVS agencies. 

As we've previously announced,  J FNA  opened this year's survey to Jewish family service and vocational service agencies The deadline to submit surveys has been extended to Friday, November 18th for AJFCA and IAJVS agencies only We urge U.S. and Canadian agencies to participate. Your response and input will play a pivotal role in shaping the collective policy agenda for 2017.
