Help FLITE Help Kids!

This campaign is our annual solicitation of parents, teachers and others who may want to help ensure every child in our school district has an equal opportunity to take full advantage of the world class education that is available in Tredyffrin/Easttown. This solicitation provides the majority of funds that ensure our programs are fully funded for the current school year. Join your neighbors, and visit our website  www.flite-pa.org to donate.

November FLITE-funded Program Spotlight:

The College Readiness Program supplements the activities of the Conestoga High School guidance department for eligible students.

This program helps students to build their competence and confidence as they approach college and other post-high school opportunities.

Along with providing skill-building workshops on topics such as essay writing, completing the FAFSA, and interviewing, the program helps these students visit and tour nearby colleges which many of their peers are able to do on their own with family support.
This fall, the students will travel to the Pittsburgh area to tour five schools - all of which have special initiatives to grant the  financial support they will need to attend.

Golf Outing-

FLITE joined C.A.S.E to co-sponsor the Annual Golf Outing to benefit FLITE-funded academic programs this fall. All who worked to make this event a success deserve to be proud of raising $10,150 at this year's  outing,  and  a total of more than $50,000  over  the last nine years.  Pete Townsend and John Wenzel were pleased that the results of this close group of friends from the Class of '65 will benefit students in the School District who need additional support. A huge shout out to Mariann Paolantonio, J Woodward, and Kathy Bennett who reached out to local businesses to support the raffle and silent auction, Doug Purdy who managed communications, as well as Jim Ford, Penny Ford, Chuck Wilmot and Joe Carbo who took responsibility for a myriad of event day tasks.

We are also appreciative of our FLITE volunteers and of our generous sponsors for their support.  What a great accomplishment!

Are you planning a CHS Reunion? The Class of '65 and C.A.S.E are an example for all Conestoga Classes. If it is your reunion year, consider using your gathering as a way to give back to your alma mater. While reconnecting with friends is your primary objective, a donation to FLITE will benefit students in our District who need your help. Contact Jackie McAndrews to learn more about reunion giving to FLITE.
