BOYS CROSS COUNTRY STATE BOUND
There was a send-off today for our state-bound Panthers Boys' Cross Country team. The team finished 5th in the regional race to qualify for the state cross country tournament this Saturday at Hebron's National Trail Raceway. This is the first year the boys will compete as a team at state since 2007. Go Panthers!

EIGHTH GRADE CHIPOTLE FUNDRAISER
Tuesday, November 22, the Sandusky Chipotle is hosting a fundraising night for the 8th grade class trip to Washington DC. From 4-8:00pm, bring in the flyer, show it from your smart phone, or just let the cashier know that you wish to support the fundraiser. The 8th grade class will receive 50% of the proceeds from the sales. Thank you! 

 
ST. MARY'S PARISH PARKING LOT BLESSING AND PARTY
This Saturday, November 5, at 6:30pm there will be a Parking Lot Blessing and Party at St. Mary's Parish. Join friends and families around the fire for hot dogs, s'mores and hot apple cider. Face painting, kids games, ghost stories and great music, too!


ADVERTISE ON "THE DEN" VIDEO SCOREBOARD
Partner with the Panthers and advertise this winter during the boys' basketball games on the area's only indoor video scoreboard! There are at least 10 home games on the court, during which your ad will be featured during pregame and halftime. Still ads run $275 for the season, and a 30 second video commercial is $325. VICTORY SUITE AVAILABLE
The Victory Suite is located in the balcony of "The Den" in the Kinzel Center. It seats up to 12 people , and you can bring your own food, or we have catering packages available. PARENT/TEACHER CONFERENCES
Middle and high school teachers will be available to meet with parents for conferences on Thursday, November 3, from 1:45-4:45pm and 5:15-7:15pm in "The Den." The conferences will be held in an open table format to provide parents flexibility for meeting with teachers.
 
Grades K-5 Parent/Teacher Conferences are held by appointment in classrooms. Letters were sent home to parents this week. Please enter at the Main Entrance, under the blue awning, in the Decatur Street parking lot.


 
 
K-12 WRESTLING PRESEASON CAMP AND SIGN UP
On Sunday, November 6, there will be a Preseason Wrestling Camp held in the St. Mary Wrestling Room. There are two sessions: Beginners from 1-2:30pm and Experienced from 3-5:00pm.  The camp is open to students in grades K-12, and is perfect for anyone wishing to check out the sport. GRADES K-6 WRESTLING REGISTRATION
There will be a meeting on Thursday, November 10, at 6:00pm in the cafeteria for students in grades K-6 and their parents to register for Youth Wrestling. ANNUAL SMCC SWIM TEAM PIE SALE
The SMCC Swim Team is selling Troyers Amish made pies for Thanksgiving. The deadline to order is Friday, November 11, with pick up in the cafeteria on Tuesday, November 22, from 2:30pm-3:30pm.

GIL KROMER MEMORIAL 5K
Saturday, November 12, the Teen Leadership Corps Class is hosting the 2nd annual Gil Kromer Memorial 5K Run/Walk at Osborn Park. Registration begins at 7:30am, with the 5K race at 9:00am and the Mile Fun Run at 10:00am. This race is in memory of Gil Kromer, a former SCCS student, who passed away unexpectedly in October of 2014. All proceeds benefit the Gilbert David Kromer Scholarship Fund, established at SCCS. DONUTS FOR DAD
Please join Mrs. West's and Mrs.Rospert's Cub classes, Mrs. Mohr's Tuesday-Thursday 3 year old class, and grades K-5 for Donuts for Dads on Thursday, November 17. Stop by anytime between 7:00am - 7:30am with your student in "The Den." Please feel free to join us for Mass at 8:00am at Sts. Peter and Paul. Mrs. Mohr's Monday-Wednesday-Friday 4 year old class event will be held on Friday, November 18 in the classroom at 7:45am. Hope to see you there!

MIDDLE SCHOOL DANCE
The sophomore class is hosting a Middle School Dance on Friday, November 11 from 8-10:00pm. The dance will be held in the Multi-Purpose Room and tickets are $5. Please click here for the flyer and permission slip. Students must be signed in and out of the dance by a parent.

FALL SPORTS BANQUET
Sunday, November 20, is the SMCC Fall Sports Banquet. Coaches, athletes, and families will be attending 11:30am Mass at St. Mary's Catholic Church, with a luncheon immediately following in "The Den". After lunch, individual fall sports teams will be recognized in breakout sessions for their accomplishments and commitment to the Panther tradition of excellence. On Thursday, November 10, come out to Perkins High School and support the Junior High Swim Team. By attending the meet, you will earn points for your House. Meet begins at 4:30. Go Panthers!

COLLEGE FINANCIAL AID NIGHT
Tiffin University will be here on Thursday, November 3, at 7:00pm in the PPC. They will be discussing the FAFSA process and have tips to maximize your scholarship money.

LIFETEEN NEWS
MARCH FOR LIFE
January 26-28 is the National March for Life in Washington DC. The first 14 teens who submit the $200 fee and registration forms by December 15 will be able to attend. Students may volunteer at Life Teen events to help lower the cost. Cost includes bus transportation, hotel, hat, March and Rally, Mass and tour of the National Basilica of the Immaculate Conception, tour of the Capital, and a tour of The Holocaust Museum, as time allows. The Knights of Columbus Ohio Charity Foundation scholarship is now accepting applications for their 2016-2017 Catholic school tuition scholarship. Any high school student is eligible to apply as long as they meet the following criteria: must be a practicing Catholic, attend an Ohio Catholic High School, and include latest grade transcript.
