Principal's Letter

Dear All Saints Families,

Wow!  The All Saints Catholic School Auction, held this past Saturday, was an incredible event! I am so touched by the love and support expressed by everyone for the school community during the evening.  It was a truly joyous night of the celebration of Catholic education.  A thank you does not seem sufficient for our auction chairs, Mrs. Kara Hodas, Mrs. Jackie Marvin, and Ms. Jenn Patterson, and the countless volunteers who planned, organized, and ran the auction.  The event could not have been better!  Thank you to all who attended.  A notice will be going home shortly to offer bidding on the few remaining items.  Further, the Auction Committee would like to open the Call to the Heart once last time.  Donations to this area help support our tuition assistance.  Through your wonderful donations, families can send their children to All Saints Catholic School.  At times, we all may need some assistance and it allows us to help those families.  Once again, thank you to everyone involved.

Tomorrow marks a historical day for our country.  I ask we all pray for this presidential election and peace in our nation.  St. Peter is a voting location.  This will cause parking lot issues.  Our faculty will be out in full force helping with the flow.  We ask all our families to come early in the morning to avoid a backup of cars.  We ask you not to come early for our afternoon pick up as we know holding areas could possibly be plugged with voter vehicles.  I ask everyone to have patience for the voters who are not familiar with our car line and flow of traffic.  We may also have individuals partaking in last minute campaigning on the property. Let us show everyone respect and demonstrate fair and polite democracy to our children.  Please help us by showing the community our goodness.

This Thursday we will be celebrating Veterans' Day during our Thursday Liturgy.  Please invite your family members and friends who have or are serving in any branch of the armed forces.  We have a guest speaker who will be talking to our students for ten to fifteen minutes after Mass.  Following the Mass, we invite our honorees over to the school for a meet and greet with fifth grade.  We look forward to honoring our veterans and active duty personnel on this special day.

God Bless America!

Yours in Christ,

Volunteer Opportunities

Hospitality:
We need to organize a committee that would help set up (food/decorations) and run special events or meetings at the school.  This would allow the talent and creativity in our parents to shine during events.  Further, it would be so nice to have the presence of parents at the events to represent families in our community.  Examples of such events would be Open House, Grandparents Reception, Teacher Appreciation Luncheon, HSA General Meetings and Pastors' Meetings.  Please contact Patty Rabideau if you are interested in joining this committee or have any questions,  561-385-1659 [email protected].

Helping Hands:
This program runs throughout the school year and is held on Wednesday mornings after drop off in the cafeteria.  This program assists the teachers by doing prep work for upcoming classroom projects or assignments.  There is also an opportunity to take work home.  This is a great way for full time working parents to receive volunteer hours.  Contact Rita Berley at  301-509-0729  or  [email protected]  if you would like to help or have any questions.

Santa Shop:
Immediately after Thanksgiving our school has a small "Santa Shop" for our students to purchase for family Christmas gifts. Help is needed for set up, running the shop, and clean up.  Please contact Mrs Liz Hamila for further details, 561-214-1166 or [email protected].

THANK YOU TO OUR MANY VOLUNTEERS!
