AERO DYNAMIX INC. approved SCANDINAVIAN AVIONICS, based in Billund, Denmark, as its second international repair station.

ELLIOTT AVIATION announced installation of a Honeywell Primus Epic CDS/R Phase V and NZ-2010 WAAS FMS upgrade in a Hawker 800XP. Elliott Aviation will attain the STC for the FMS 6.1 version 03040 with Epic CDS/R and the Legacy SPZ-8000 EFIS. In addition to the Honeywell installations, the aircraft will receive a 48 month inspection, full paint, full interior and structural inspections.

GULFSTREAM AEROSPACE CORP. appointed BRENT MONROE vice president, North American sales, western division.

METRO AVIATION delivered the fifth Eurocopter EC135 to California Shock Trauma Air Rescue. Metro will provide eight EC135s as part of a comprehensive fleet upgrade and standardization plan for the helicopter emergency medical service.

ROCKWELL COLLINS' Pro Line Fusion avionics and Primary Flight Control Computer played a key role in the successful first flight of Bombardier's CSeries commercial aircraft, which took place in Montr�al, Qu�bec.

SPIRIT AVIONICS appointed TINA BIRCHAK financial controller.

General Aviation Caucuses were formed in the U.S. House of Representatives and the Senate in 2009, to inform members and staff about the importance of GA to the nation's economy and transportation system. To date, more than 200 members of the U.S. Congress have signed on to the General Aviation Caucus. Click below to see if your elected representative is a member. U.S. House General Aviation Caucus Co-Chairs Sam Graves (R-Mo.) and John Barrow (D-Ga.) recently announced that, for the first time in its history, more than half the House of Representatives had joined the group. The current tally stands at 223 members. The purpose of the House General Aviation Caucus is to inform members and staff about the importance of general aviation to the national economy and transportation system.

"Crossing the 218 mark is a great victory for general aviation," Graves said. "Education is key to our efforts to highlight the everyday concerns of America's pilots, so having the majority of the House participating in the caucus is important. General aviation carries 166 million passengers to around 5,000 communities over 27 million flight hours each year, and more than two-thirds of these flights are for business purposes." More...

On Wednesday, Sept. 25, the AEA U.S. East Regional Meeting began three days of training, networking and professional development opportunities for AEA member companies at the Hilton-Fort Lauderdale Marina in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. The event began with a regulatory session followed by an update and training session on the AEA's proprietary Safety Management System. The event continues throughout the week with product training and an exhibit hall filled with nearly 30 exhibitors showcasing the latest avionics products and services. More...
