Air Canada selected ROCKWELL COLLINS' Dispatch 100 avionics service and asset management program for its new fleet of 37 Boeing 787 Dreamliners, which are scheduled to be delivered in 2014. In addition, the company announced a series of enhancements to its Pro Line Fusion avionics, including capabilities designed to accommodate NextGen and Single European Sky ATM Research (SESAR) programs.
DUNCAN AVIATION is celebrating its 50th anniversary this month of the facility located in Lincoln, Neb. In addition, the company named SCOTT HEATH manager of the Duncan Aviation-Sacramento and Duncan Aviation-Hayward avionics satellites.
JEPPESEN and Wideroe, a leading regional carrier of Scandinavia, recently signed a five-year electronic flight bag service agreement.
CLAY LACY AVIATION announced it is on course to receive STC for FANS 1/A+, CPDLC, Link 2000+, ADS-B solution for Gulfstream GIV and GIVSP aircraft.
ELLIOTT AVIATION named LAWRENCE HARTING FCM general manager and vice president of flight operations.
SKYTRAC SYSTEMS introduced High Resolution Data, a feature that provides accurate one-second position reporting.
GARMIN announced that GLO and GLO for Aviation now both offer additional capabilities with the most recent update. GLO can now Bluetooth to four devices simultaneously.
ASTRONICS AES announced it will supply Bell Helicopter with the Secondary Electronic Power Distribution System for the new Bell 525 Relentless.

Three Training Courses at AEA in January
Class sizes are limited...register now to guarantee your seat!
 The three-day course is for technicians who have completed AEA's Basic Wiring and Avionics Installation Course and/or have a couple years of basic avionics installation practice and are looking for more experience integrating common general aviation installations. Technicians will learn how to plan, install, interface, configure and check out an installation consisting of a Garmin GTN 650 touchscreen nav/comm/GPS, Garmin GTX33ES remote transponder and an Aspen EFD1000 primary flight display. In addition, a Pitot-Static and Transponder Certification Training Course is set for Jan. 30. Attendees will learn the proper methods for conducting pitot-static and transponder certification testing. This full-day course offers hands-on training, including a regulatory review and an explanation of the proper administrative procedures for completing these critical certifications. It also includes a transponder tune-up course. The contents of this course can be incorporated easily into approved training programs for certified repair stations. Finally, the RVSM Maintenance and Advanced Transponder Training Course will take place Jan. 31. Attendees will be introduced to the regulations, documentation, test equipment and maintenance practices associated with performing RVSM maintenance and will follow with an in-depth look at Mode S transponders. This course assumes the attendee has good operating knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations 91.411 and 91.413.
All three courses will be taught by Don Dominguez of Radioman Avionics.
