COBHAM SATCOM has announced the appointment of JIANMIN CUI to its aeronautical sales team in the new role of regional sales director for the China region. CONSTANT AVIATION LLC announced it completed its 15th installation for a PA system on the Phenom 100/300. DUNCAN AVIATION's location in Provo, Utah, recently announced it has been approved by the Mexican Civil Aviation Authority as an approved aircraft maintenance organization. In addition, the company's Battle Creek, Mich., location recently received approval by Bermuda's Civil Aviation Authority. RICK GARCIA, president of GULF COAST AVIONICS CORP., announced the appointment of JOHN GAUCH as vice president of sales, effective immediately. L-3 Display Systems, a subgroup of L-3 AVIATION PRODUCTS, announced it was awarded a contract from The Boeing Company to provide the remote interface unit for the F-15C/D Advanced Display Core Processor II aircraft program. The RIU is a redundant, programmable input/output processing system that collects and manages heads-up display, hands-on throttle and stick, and other F-15C/D analog and digital signals for distribution using the aircraft's digital bus interfaces.

U.S. General Aviation Caucus Update
General Aviation Caucuses were formed in the U.S. House of Representatives and the Senate in 2009, to inform members and staff about the importance of GA to the nation's economy and transportation system. To date, more than 200 members of the U.S. Congress have signed on to the General Aviation Caucus. Click below to see if your elected representative is a member. The annual AEA board of directors meeting concluded last week at the association's international headquarters in Lee's Summit, Mo.
On Friday, Nov. 8, the board of directors took time from a full agenda to meet with U.S. Rep. Sam Graves, a Republican member of Congress who was back home in the Show-Me State of Missouri. Graves is the chairman of the House Small Business Committee and serves as co-chair of the House General Aviation Caucus. Graves discussed a variety of issues related to general aviation and heard various concerns and feedback on a variety of general aviation topics from AEA board members.
Graves is a pilot, a passionate aviator and strong supporter of general aviation on Capitol Hill. |
