Question Man
Will the Raiders leave Oakland for
Las Vegas? Why or why not?
(To participate, send your reply and a selfie to theultimatesportsguide@gmail.com)
|

|
I think Mark Davis really wants to move to Las Vegas but I have serious doubts that he can get a three-quarters vote of club owners to permit that. I think they're worried about gambling concerns. There's also a rumor afloat that Sheldon Adelson, the casino billionaire and political investor, wants to buy into the Raiders, or buy the team outright. That would surely put the kibosh on the move.
Richard Lupoff, scribbler, Berkeley

It is a noteworthy fact that kicking and beating have played so considerable a part in the habits which necessity has imposed on mankind in past ages that the only way of preventing civilized men from beating and kicking their wives is to organize games in which they can kick and beat balls.
