Member Spotlight: John H.F. Ufkes, Attorney at Law

Since moving to Ellensburg in 2005, John Ufkes has focused on civil litigation and advising the private clients and public agencies he represents. He has, for many years, practiced land use law in both California and Washington, representing both developers and concerned citizens for over a decade. Closely related to land use is the area of water law, in which John is currently very active.

For more than twenty-five years, he has represented persons seriously injured in personal injury, social security disability, and worker's compensation cases. John Ufkes is skilled at understanding medical reports, accomplished in dealing with insurance companies, and very familiar with complex litigation.

In addition to the above, John is highly competent in contracts, construction law, real estate law, business planning and formation, estate planning, probate, wills and trusts, general civil and commercial litigation, and more.

Since 1999, Martindale-Hubbel has rated John Ufkes with the highest peer and judicial review ranking- "AV"- PREEMINENT LAWYER. For nearly thirty years, he has provided the highest quality legal services in the most efficient and cost effective manner.

He skillfully advocates for his clients by taking the time and care to insure clients are fully informed of the processes involved and alternatives available; and by giving an honest assessment of the strengths and weaknesses of their case.
