Money Matters Contest and Session
Student Services is having a Money Matters Photo Contest. Submit a photo of how you save money on Instagram or post it to the King's website using the hashtags #KingsThriftyTips and #igotoKings. Show off your amazing packed lunches, used text books and other creative ways that you help make ends meet. The winner will win a $50 gift card for the King's Connection. Contest starts on November 1st and ends November 28th.

Money Matters will be hosting a tips workshop on  Wednesday, November 16 at 3:30 PM, KC1 19.

Social Justice and Peace Studies - Who is the Other? Ethical Responses to the Contemporary Crisis of Migration in Europe.

With the destruction of the refugee camp, 'The Jungle" in Calais, France this past week, and more than 1000+ refugees arriving on the shores of Italy every week, the crisis of forced migrations is one of the most critical justice issues of our time. This course combines a number of seminar courses in the winter term with an experiential travel component to be taught at the Nobel- Prize nominated centre for peace studies, Rondine, outside of Arezzo, Italy.

Tentative dates for travel: May 5-28, 2017
  • King's International Travel Bursaries + SJPS travel scholarships are available to help fund the cost of this program.
  • This course is available for 1.0 credit.
  • Students should see Lois Mansfield in the Academic Dean's Office to register before November 14, 2016

OSAP Income Update

It is time for OSAP students to update their incomes.
  • Log into your full time 2016-2017 OSAP application to update the income you reported
  • Submit by December 2, 2016 to avoid delays with your January funding
Please be aware that updates for the scholarships, awards, and bursaries will need to be done separately through Student Financial Services with an OSAP Income Change Form available on the Money Matters webpage of King's website.

Tutorials will run every Friday except the week after the Finance exam and during the Organizational Behaviour Unit in the winter term.
 
All tutorials run three hours from 1 to 4 p.m. on Fridays in LH103 except where noted. LH100 is the overflow room (extra).

New After Hour Crisis Service for King's Students

A new after hour crisis service will be offered through the Peer Support Centre at Western in partnership with the CMHA which will be begin November 15th and operate until December 15th.

In partnership with  GivingTuesday.ca , King's is challenging alumni, students, employees and friends to give back on Tuesday, November 29th.

Giving Tuesday is a global movement that originated in the United States with the idea that after Black Friday and Cyber Monday, there should be a day devoted to volunteering, supporting the community and philanthropy. There are many ways to participate in Giving Tuesday at King's
