The 15th Annual Awards Celebration on September 13 was an exciting celebration of those who look ahead to the future, who look outside of themselves, and who lend a hand! Impact 100 is looking forward to the future transformations as a result of the FOUR grants awarded that evening! The recipients of these grants of $101,500 each are:
Cincinnati Therapeutic Riding and Horsemanship
- Project Mustang, Greater Cincinnati Construction Foundation - Constructing a Pathway out of Poverty program, St. Francis Seraph Ministries with Center for Respite Care - the Dinner Club & Kitchenette project, and Women's Crisis Center - Green Dot Violence Prevention program
! I would like to especially thank our generous, passionate members who are willing to lend a hand in order to make a difference in our community by funding these grants.
The almost 400 members, guests and sp
onsors who attended the event were impressed by all seven finalists! In addition to the four grants awarded above, and through the generosity of our donors: sponsors, members and community partners alike
, Impact 100 was able to offer a check for $1000 to support the purchase of Wish List items of the three agencies who did not receive a grant: Center for Great Neighborhoods of Kentucky, Chatfield College and Northern Kentucky Community Action Commission. We would like to thank all 75 agencies that submitted a grant request.
The Annual Awards Celebration is always the highlight of our Impact 100 year but even more so this year as we celebrated the past 15 years. We thank our founder, Wendy Steele, who brought the concept of collective giving to life in Greater Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky. If you were not able to make it, check out our 15th anniversary video on our home page to experience the Impact that this model has made in our community.
We are ready to begin our next grant cycle this month as we hold information sessions for those nonprofit agencies interested in applying for a grant in 2017. We are therefore recruiting members for 2017 as well.
If you are currently a member of Impact 100 - we encourage you to renew your membership for 2017. If you are considering joining as a new member, we encourage you to learn more about our wonderful organization - and to join. We have several opportunities for you to experience Impact 100 (Beers with Elaine on October 7th, Giving Tuesday on November 29th, and several "Spread the Word" events through the end of the year). Brand new grant recipient, St. Francis Seraph and The Center for Respite Care are inviting us to a preview event of the St. Anthony Center, a
center of services for the poor and working poor. See and hear how the new St.
