At this time, the Philanthropic committee is in the planning stages for the Rady Children's Hospital Special Needs Clinic Holiday Party at Ronald McDonald House on December 17th. We have provided this party for the children over the past 15 years. As you may have heard me say at the luncheons, the clinic now treats over 400 children and is growing by more than one child a week. As you can imagine toys and gifts for this group of children will be several thousand dollars, and we want to make sure there is no concern about having the needed funds.
To guarantee we have the resources, I am asking all friends of SDAHU to make a monetary donation. This party is the highlight of the year for many of the children and they so look forward to it. For many of them, this will be the only holiday party they will have.
