So you want to be a beekeeper?
Thinking about keeping bees? The UMaine Cooperative Extension is offering Beginning Beekeeping courses this winter, in addition to a Landscape for Life class which covers, among other things, how to attract beneficial insects and birds. In addition, the deadline for the 2017 Master Gardener volunteer training is December 31st. Head on over to the Cooperative Extension website and take advantage of these opportunities to grow for good!

Polar Bear Dip & Dash December 31st!
We're thrilled to sponsor the 9th Annual Polar Bear Dip & Dash, raising money
to support the Natural Resources Council of Maine's work to reduce climate change pollution
. Looking for an invigorating challenge? Choose between a 5k race, the polar dip or both! The 5k begins at 11 am and the dip at noon. There are all sorts of great prizes for participating, including the 2017 SunriseGuide. Festivities take place at the
East End Beach
in Portland. The deadline for the
