Good Deed Brigade . . . Making A Difference
All About Heart - Debbie Driscoll
Meet Debbie Driscoll, who literally and figuratively is all about heart. Debbie is a lifelong Floridian who resides in Durbin Crossing (St. Johns County), Florida with her husband (Sean) and their two sons (Brady - age 8 and Aidan age 15). She is a pharmaceutical representative for Bristol-Myers Squibb. Which division? That's right . . .you guessed it right - Cardiovascular. Debbie has a wealth of knowledge about cardiovascular medications that can and do save lives.
Debbie's passion for cardiovascular health and issues stems back for about a decade. Her interest became even more focused when her son, Brady, was born with a congenital heart defect that required life saving surgery. Thankfully, the surgery was a success and Brady is an active kid who loves his school - Patriot Oaks Academy - and his soccer. Debbie and the rest of the Driscoll family believe in giving back and are regular volunteers for the American Heart Association and the UF Health Congenital Heart Center. Debbie is also active in the PTO for both Patriot Oaks Academy and Creekside High School. She also volunteers for the Advanced Scholars Program at Patriot Oaks Academy. On most weekends, you will find the Driscoll family at the soccer fields rooting on the "Volt" also known as the Florida Elite Soccer Academy or attending both local and travel basketball games for her older son Aidan.
As you can see, Debbie has a "heart" for education, community, health and wellness, and family. Even with the demands of a full time job and mother of two active boys, Debbie does her best to give back. Her husband, Sean, owns multiple Plato's Closet businesses and also works long hours. Debbie is very passionate about health and fitness and can be found running, attending various fitness classes, or enjoying simple walks with her family and French Bulldog "Cruz" around their community - Durbin Crossing. With her full time schedule plus, Debbie knows that it is important to stay in shape and, yes, relax every now and then. However, she knows that the next event, meeting, school function, and game are just around the corner. Debbie thrives on her busy schedule, the love of her family, and just making the most of every day.
Beyond everything that Debbie does, she is just a nice person to be around. She greets friends and strangers alike with a smile and a helping hand. As noted by American writer Washington Irving, "A kind heart is a fountain of gladness, making everything in its vicinity freshen into smiles."
