July 5th is one of the busiest days of the year for animal shelters. Many pets are scared of fireworks (and other loud noises) which may lead to running away or a dramatic change in behavior.

New Vaccination Required for Lodging & Daycare

Holiday House Pet Resort & Training Center now requires all Lodging guests (and Daycare students) to be vaccinated with the canine flu bivalent vaccine.

This vaccine covers both strains of canine influenza. Please speak to your veterinarian about this newer vaccine if your dog has a reservation at the resort this summer.

Boot Camp Training Completed

All Holiday House Pet Resort & Training Center employees recently participated in a staff boot camp to prepare for the busy summer season.

It was an intensive day of training in resort protocols and responsibilities, pet behaviors and care basics, safety, and customer service. When the day was done, it was time for team building and fun!

We are extremely proud of the commitment of our entire team. Our staff works hard to care for every pet, and they fill the resort with love and laughter.

Supporting the US War Dogs Association

Holiday House Pet Resort & Training Center and Doylestown Veterinary Hospital & Holistic Pet Care support t he US War Dogs Association and its Rx Program for retired military working dogs.

Many of the dogs require medications to help with pain management, inflammation, anxiety/PTSD, allergies and other medical conditions including seizures and cancer treatment in some cases. This program is a financial help to families--often military families--that adopt and care for these dogs.

Pup-A-Palooza is our biggest Daycare event of the summer. Pup-A-Palooza benefits the USWDA and will take place on Thursday, July 20. We'll host a complimentary Beach BBQ during 4:30 to 6:30pm. Stop by for a tasty treat and ask our staff about our resort services--including Daycare and Training--or ask how you can support the USWDA.
