Meet the Interim Principal
Ms. Miller
Advantage Academy Grand Prairie East

I am honored, humbled, and so excited to move to the Grand Prairie East team as interim and hopefully THE principal. I am committed to promoting excellence in education and quality instruction for your child in a caring environment focused on the whole child. I come to the GPE campus from Advantage Academy Waxahachie, where I have spent the last two years as the assistant principal.

I graduated from the University of Texas in Arlington with a B.A.
in English and hold a Master of Education Administration from Concordia University in Austin.  I hold a principal certification as well as a teaching certification in English Language Arts in Reading for grades 4-12 and English as a Second Language  grades 6-12.  I have nearly twelve years of experience in education, both as a classroom teacher and as an administrator. I believe in the mission of Advantage Academy and in our motto "Building Champions with a Future and a Hope."  
 
I have a twenty-five year old son of whom I am very proud and two precious Chihuahuas who are the love of my life. I enjoy reading, writing, cooking, and being with nature.  I look forward to meeting you and working with you to help your child ( ren) learn to be successful in high school and the crucial years that follow.

The Texas Education Agency (TEA) recently released the final 2015-16 school financial accountability ratings and Advantage Academy received the highest possible rating with a Superior (A) Rating.

Created by the 77th Texas Legislature in 2001, the School Financial Integrity Rating System of Texas (FIRST) is designed to encourage public schools to better manage their financial resources to provide the maximum allocation possible for direct instructional purposes.

Prep Shirt Required (Juniors & Seniors) 
Every Wednesday Juniors and Seniors are required to wear a Prep Shirt  ( Oxford white prep shirt) with the Advantage Academy Logo .  Buy now at Global School Wear .
Spirit Shirt/Jean Day Fridays
 
 
Spirit Shirts are required on Fridays and may be purchased for       $8.00 in the Main Office.
 
Jeans are optional on Fridays for $1.00 fee .   Jean passes are $15 per semester or $25 for the year.   Buy now online
View Your Child's Grades Online!


Advantage Academy wants to help you access your student's grades. Sign up now for access to the txConnect Parent Portal and you  can monitor your child's grades and attendance from your computer! You will need your portal ID #.  You may contact the campus registrar for your portal ID #.
