95th Annual Charlemagne Awards Dinner

A Word from the Board - Treasurer- Ryan Anderson

Ryan Anderson
Treasurer
Mark your calendars for Thursday, November 3rd as it is the date of our Annual Membership Breakfast at St. Charles Country Club.  The Membership Breakfast is one of the great opportunities that we, as a Chamber, have to celebrate on a large scale.  Our membership has grown significantly in recent years creating outstanding networking opportunities and has allowed the Chamber to offer advanced education and marketing workshops.  The Membership Committee, of which I'm a member, serves as the host and provides a platform for our Board Chairman, Craig Larsen, to address the current state of the chamber as well as introduce its goals for the coming year.  In addition, we'll introduce you to the Chamber staff and Board of Directors who are here to help you get the most out of your membership.  A great way to maximize your investment is to join a LEAD$ group or a committee all of which will be represented at the Breakfast.  Most importantly we'll present our Member and Rookie of the Year awards.  The Rookie of the Year recognizes a new member who has jumped in with both feet to get the most out their chamber membership.  Member of the Year is awarded to that special person who goes above and beyond to serve the Chamber.  They attend the ribbons cuttings, after hours events and lend a hand whenever it's needed.  With all of this going on the Membership Breakfast is sure to be an exciting event.  I look forward to seeing you November 3rd.

City of St. Charles Update & St. Charles Organization Exhibits Luncheon
Royal Fox Country Club, 4405 Royal & Ancient Drive, STC

This year we invited St. Charles organizations to set up tables before the luncheon to provide information about what they have going on, updates and projects they are working on. This was a great addition to this event and we would like to thank; Downtown St. Charles Partnership, Greater St. Charles Convention and Visitors Bureau, St. Charles Park District, St. Charles Public Library, and River Corridor Foundation of St. Charles.  Mayor Ray Rogina and First Ward Alderman Dan Stellato were the perfect presenters to provide information on the happenings in St. Charles. The Mayor was pleased to provide an update that Fox Valley Volkswagen is currently open in St. Charles, and coming soon to Randall Road will be an Audi dealership. The updates about the Quad included news about Coopers Hawk and Starbucks being built in the out lots. They were also pleased to announce St. Charles received a 5 out of 5 rating in the America In Bloom National Award Program this year! Dan Stellato also updated the group on interesting information about the largest generation, Millennial's, including their lifestyle, spending and buying patterns.

Schramm

Schramm Construction Corporation started in 1992 as a general contractor with a vision to develop a commercial construction company that put people over construction and focused on the growth of our clients through providing a quality space in which to conduct their business.

BUILDING ON OUR STRENGTHS...

Through the years we have seen many ups and downs in the construction industry.  After surviving the downturn of 2008, Schramm Construction began the difficult process of rebuilding the company.  Keeping the original vision in mind, we strived to hire employees who put the client first and had a sense of ownership for each project contracted.

We are proud to say, that we accomplished that goal and now have a strong team of experienced professionals from the top down who bring years of experience to all aspect of each project.  We continue to grow our network of quality, professional subcontractors throughout the Fox Valley area and strive to serve our clients and community with simultaneous success.

DIVERSE BUILDING...

Our portfolio is rich in diverse projects...  resorts, water parks, churches, industrial, clubhouses, apartments,  restaurants, schools, retail, medical and historical restoration.  We are currently working on several community projects, such as Dunham Castle, Baker Community Center, and The Quad Retail sites.  With our experienced staff we humbly bring our diverse knowledge along with our vitality and passion to partnership with our clients.

GIVING BACK TO THE COMMUNITY...

Schramm also believes in giving back to the community.  Fred Schramm serves on the board of directors for CASA Kane County and is involved in many other community endeavors.

Planning to build from the ground up, add on, or renovate? We can serve your needs from architect to ribbon cutting with a dedication and quality you will appreciate.
