In October each class met with me for our first music class of the year! I like to start our time together with some yoga and stretching to warm up our bodies and make our muscles stronger! We danced and sang about the Pumpkin Patch, Gray Squirrels and Monsters! We also learned about rhythm and practiced our listening skills when we played some instruments! I look forward to making music with your children this year!

Falling leaves, crisp air, pumpkins and blessings mean it must be November! It's also the month for Parent-Teacher Conferences. The fall conference is designed as a time for you and your child's teacher to exchange information. It's a time for you to hear more about your child's interests and interactions during school; and a time for you to share with us about your child's interests and interactions outside of school. In addition, it's a time for you to ask any questions that you may have about your child's learning, development or the school program in general. Please make sure you sign up for a time to meet with your child's classroom teacher. Communication is the key to a great relationship!

Butterfly Bunch Spots Available
Would your child enjoy spending a little extra time at school with friends to explore our outdoor classroom and activities? Butterfly Bunch is a 2-hour lunch enrichment program offered on Friday mornings or afternoons. Students in any of our 3's, 4's or Pre-K classes may participate. Please contact the Front Desk for more information.

Back Pack Buddies Fundraiser
Habit Burger, Belmont Chase
Tuesday, November 1st, 4:30-9:30 pm
Dine in or carryout at Habit Burger. Twenty percent of the proceeds will go to St. David's Backpack Buddies program.
The flyer must be presented at payment
to ensure that Backpack Buddies receives the donation. The flyers are available on the usher stand in the Narthex and at the Front Desk of the school.
Candy Tithe
Sunday, November 6th,
9 and 11 am services
Children are encouraged to bring their "tithe" of Halloween Candy to the services on Sunday November 6th. This is a great time to teach what a tithe is and how it serves others. The candy is the donated to Loudoun Interfaith Relief.
Signups for the 2016 Christmas Pageant

This is a fundraiser that rewards our preschool when parents purchase certain Harris Teeter brand products.
We have earned over $245 so far this year!
You can Link your Harris Teeter Card. St. David's # is 6103. You can even link other schools as well. We get credit for purchasing Harris Teeter brands and prescriptions. POPS will even sign you up - just Email POPS with your info and we will plug it in!
