Colorado interChange: Resources for your Membership
Week of September 21, 2017
Each week, we'll use this newsletter to provide you with updates on the implementation of the Colorado interChange, including topics you might be hearing from your members as well as content for your membership newsletter and general updates on progress.
Provider Buzz
Here's a look at hot topics for providers and others:
  • In response to provider feedback, the Department and our vendor have implemented a system update to the provider portal allowing providers (including Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) Waiver providers) to view a member's Prior Authorization Request (PAR) status in the Provider Web Portal. To further assist providers with billing, the Department is working on an additional improvement to allow these providers to easily obtain modifiers on a prior authorization request through the web portal, rather than requesting that information from the case manager. We sent this email to providers.

New training resources added to help providers
Increasing numbers of resources are being added to the Colorado Department of Health Care Policy and Financing to help providers and their staff learn more and solve problems they experiencing while working with the interChange system. Recently, two additional billing resources were developed.
Additional resources are planned and you should check back frequently to explore whether the particular issue you are interested in is available. All trainings, both new and old, can be found in the provider resources section of the Department's website.
