The Most Wonderful Red Jacket Season has arrived.
Welcome to November in New York. What a special time of year that brings back wonderful memories of Gotham Holidays past while reminding us to appreciate all that we have today by taking time to celebrate Thanksgiving and those that we are thankful for in our lives. My Red Jacket life added a new facet this month with my new title of Contributing Editor at Magnifissance publications. I hope to share the Best of New York with you in upcoming editions. I promise it will add an element of sassy to every coffee table. Wishing you all the best Thanksgiving ever.

A Red Jacket Opportunity
42 Crosby is undoubtedly the talk of the town this fall. The seven-story SoHo building, designed by renowned architect Annabelle Selldorf, is one of only two buildings in New York City with a floor-to-ceiling lift and slide window system. It is no surprise that units are selling quickly. Contact us directly for details.

Red Jacket Staging News
The Art of Home Staging
Each of my Home Staging Projects is approached in a slightly different manner, as each home is that much different from the next. Upon entering this home, your breath was taken away with the larger than life open view of New York Harbor. Our job was to make the interior as fetching as the view, while not attempting to compete with it. We kept things layered and light, with pops of colour to designate the various living areas. I especially love the upholstered dining chairs in Tiffany-esque blue, which brought the blue skies and water inside.

Michael Devine's Devine China
Michael's new china is inspired by his favorite fabric designs and is entirely hand painted in Limoges, France by Marie Daage and her team of skilled French artisans. Each exquisite piece is accented with 24 karat gold and is dishwasher safe.
As is the case with anything really special,
everything is custom; the order you are going to be receiving is made just for you and you alone. The process is one of time honored tradition, and not for those in a hurry.

Red Jacket Exhibits
Proust's Muse - The Countess Gruffulhe
Proust's Muse, The Countess Greffulhe features extraordinary fashions from the legendary wardrobe of Élisabeth de Caraman-Chimay, the Countess Greffulhe (1860-1952). A famous beauty celebrated for her "aristocratic and artistic elegance."
Proust's Muse is based on La Mode retrouvée: Les robes trésors de la comtesse Greffulhe, an exhibition organized in Paris by Olivier Saillard, director of the Palais Galliera, Musée de la Mode de la Ville de Paris, which is the repository of the countess's wardrobe. Dr. Valerie Steele, director and chief curator of The Museum at FIT, has organized the exhibition in New York in collaboration with Saillard.

See Spot Rescued
Who needs caffeine when you have Luke Danes in your life? The Gilmore Girls' favorite diner owner is a 1 year old, 12-pound terrier mix. Unlike his name sake, he enjoys being around people and dogs big and small -- he even gets along with cats. Where you lead, Luke will follow -- he is a super happy and playful boy. He's also super smart: He knows how to sit when he's asked, and is already crate trained. Luke is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped.
