Welcome to the 2016 - 2017 season of Destination Imagination!  This newsletter is to keep team managers, school coordinators, and other supporters informed of important updates and resources.
Printed Program Materials Available 

Jean Cieszkowski received printed copies of program materials for all RISD teams.  We understood that this year we would receive only electronic downloads - so we are working on how to get the printed material to TMs who would like them.  Watch your email for more information.  
Resources Added to Dal-Rich Site

There are several new TM resources added to the website under the Team Manager Resources site.  A few that we highly recommend during this early part of the season are:

New Training on IDODI Site

A new webinar training for Team Managers, The Roles of a Team Manager , hosted by Johnny Wells and Kris Beisel is now available in the Resource Area of Destination Imagination members website. 
 
Here is the link to the resource area:  Resource Area.  You will need to have registered on the site first.  A fter you have signed in you will find the webinar and a ppt in  Documents/View/Volunteer Training/Team Manager Training.
 
The webinar discusses the 7 roles of a team manager: Life Changer, Creativity Stimulator, Educator, Challenge Expert, Interference Deflector, Chief Safety Officer, and Facilitator.

November Team Manager Informal Meeting 

Our informal TM meetings are a way for our spectacular TMs to get together and network with new and seasoned TMs, ask questions, get answers, and sometimes even pick up some gently-loved leftover DI materials from former teams!

Team Manager Training Resources

We had a great turn out for our Team Manager Training sessions on October 15th.  We would love your feedback on our training workshop, please watch for our survey coming soon.  The presentations from the workshop are posted on our website under Team Manager Resources.

2016 -2017 Team Numbers [REPEAT]

Challenges were released on September 1st.  To get your team number, you may purchase a team number directly from DI at destinationimagination.org or contact your school district to see if team numbers are available through the district.  Team numbers are $95 for competitive-level teams.
