Never take off more than what you leave. Make a cut and wait a day or two and take another cut to reduce the stress and wear and tear on your equipment. The most important fertilization of the year is in the late fall. It improves the root system and allows other minor elements to go to work. When fertilizing, remember that a little bit more often is better than a whole bunch once in awhile.
