This is a make or break year for public education in our state and in Seattle. We must ensure that leaders in Olympia represent our values as public school educators by lowering class sizes at every grade level, preserving our right to collective bargaining, and fully funding our schools. That is why SEA/WEA are endorsing Chris Reykdal for the office of Superintendent of Public Instruction. As a former high school history teacher, school board member, and current state legislator, Chris values the importance of educator's voice in making decisions that impact our students and has the experience to get things done. From the legislature to the courts, we need to elect pro-public education candidates. Don't delay. Ballots must be postmarked by November 8th.
