Alice Brawley received her B.A. in Psychology at Louisiana Tech University before completing her M.S. and Ph.D. in Industrial-Organizational Psychology at Clemson University, where she received a number of research and teaching awards. Dr. Brawley's research focuses on novel or understudied work populations, as well as research methods in organizational psychology. One work population that Dr. Brawley studies in particular is very small family businesses, with a focus on their performance management processes and the management of employee turnover in this setting. Another population she studies is "gig" workers such as Uber drivers and MTurk Workers, with a focus on how traditional findings from industrial-organizational psychology apply in these new working conditions.
