| IN MEMORIUM JOHN ZACHERLE  John Zacherly ("Zacherley", The Cool Ghoul) died last week at the age of 98. 
On September 22,1958 "Shock Theater" premiered on WABC TV with "Master Ghoul Zacherley" as the host. The show was seen twice a week on Monday and Friday nights at 11:15pm. 
On October 30,1959 the show moved to WOR TV. 
During the summer of 1960 a "Zacherley For President" set was released. I had the set as a kid. Wish I still had it! The set is a collectible rarity today. 
And finally in 1964 Zacherly moved to WPIX as the host of "Chiller Theatre". |
