Learning Success Program
Are missing assignments, late assignments, and low scores populating your student's Canvas gradebooks? Are they unable to recall doing the assignment or unable to locate a completed assignment on their computer? Is your student overwhelmed by the workload? If you answered yes to any of the questions, executive functioning could be a learning challenge for your student. Executive functioning skills are a key component in academic success and often the skills need to be explicitly taught. Understood.org has some fabulous suggestions to help your student at home. Tip of The Week
Write out a list of goals that you want to achieve for the school year! Do you want to make the lead role in the play, get that varsity spot on the basketball team, or improve your grades? You can reach all the goals you set for this year! When you write down every goal, you are better able to plan and realize what you need to do to prepare for them. Having that list can be a driving and motivating force to help you work to achieve those goals.
