Here's what you can't miss at the Baltimore Book Festival Today...
  • 11AM: Storybook Parade - Join storybook characters as they flock to the Inner Harbor Promenade for the Storybook Parade, starting at Rash Field. All are welcome (including pets) to join!

  • 12PM: Ada Calhoun, Wedding Toasts I'll Never Give at the Inner Harbor Stage presented by Towson University - Ada offers an unflinching but loving portrait of her own marriage, opening a long-overdue conversation about what marriage truly is.

  • 1PM: The Curators of Hip Hop at the Music Stage supported by WTMD

  • 2PM: Javaka Steptoe, Radiant Child, at the Enoch Pratt Free Library Children’s Stage - The Randolph Caldecott Medal and the Coretta Scott King Illustrator Award winner shares from Radiant Child.

  • 3PM: Patricia Altschul with Deborah Davis, The Art of Southern Charm, at the Literary Salon - Fan-favorite "Bravolebrity" Patricia Altschul from the primetime show Southern Charm finally brings fans of the show her opus on etiquette and living a glamorous champagne Southern lifestyle.

  • 4PM: The National Aquarium Presents: Barton Seaver, at the Food for Thought Stage - Join writer, chef and sustainability advocate Barton Seaver and the National Aquarium’s Director of Seafood, Tj Tate, for a conversation about the heritage, culture and future of seafood.

  • 5PM: Devin Allen, A Beautiful Ghetto in conversation with D. Watkins, at the Radical Bookfair Pavilion - Iconic Baltimore photographer Devin Allen is joined in conversation by award-winning local author D. Watkins for a celebration of the release of his first photo-book.

  • 5:30PM: Virginia Hanlon Grohl, From Cradle to Stage interviewed by Alex Cortright of WTMD, at the Inner Harbor Stage presented by Towson University - Mother of Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl shares personal stories about Dave’s childhood alongside family anecdotes from fellow “rock moms” in her new novel.

  • 6:30PM: Christen B Music: Clarity, at the CityLit Stage - Christen B seamlessly blends electronic and acoustic instruments with transcendent vocals leaving listeners in a state of euphoria.
The Baltimore Book Festival is pleased to welcome back The Ivy Bookshop as the festival's official bookseller. On Saturday, don't miss Baltimore Sun editor John McIntyre as he talks writing and editing at 12pm, Sun photographer and author of Flickering Treasures: Rediscovering Baltimore's Forgotten Movie Theaters, Amy Davis, at 1pm, Matthew Crenson, author of Baltimore: A Political History at 3pm, or former Sun reporter and "The Wire" writer Rafael Alvarez at 5pm.

Enoch Pratt Free Library Children's Stage
The Enoch Pratt Free Library Children's Stage features interactive programs for the whole family, with popular local and nationally known authors of books for children and teens. Saturday, don't miss Caldecott winner Javaka Steptoe at 2pm, a live podcast recording of All The Wonders podcast with  Jared Reck  hosted by  Matthew Winner at 3pm, Hena Khan at 4pm and Baltimore-born, award-winning author Adam Gidwitz at 5pm.

Charm City Comic Pavilion
Curated by Art Way Alliance , the Charm City Comic Pavilion offers workshops and discussions all weekend for anyone interested in the comic book industry, including a Sketchnoting workshop, "How to Draw Anime with Darren Soto," "Getting Started in Comics with Jordan Clark" and "Building The Legacy of Kenzo with Michael Roberson." Not to mention, hundreds of comic books for sale! This weekend is also Baltimore Comic-Con at the convention center.
Top of the World Observation Level
See Baltimore from the Top! Top of the World Observation Level   offers free admission Saturday from 10am-7pm and Sunday from 11am-6pm. Plus, stop by and read to a furry friend from   Pets on Wheels   who will be visiting Saturday and Sunday from 12-2pm and 3-5pm. In addition, some other Inner Harbor businesses and attractions are also offering special deals and discounts throughout the weekend.
