Your Work Comp Briefing
The Department of Industrial Relations Loves "Evidenced-based medicine"

We have sent this letter to Christine Baker...

Dear Director Baker,

On any number of occasions you have cited the importance of "evidenced-based medicine."

We are sure you agree that it's important for the public to know how much of the available "evidence" is taken from studies funded by PhRMA.

One source in Work Comp Central summarized the issue and raised the right question: "Now, you're between a rock and a hard place.  How do you get out of the opiate dilemma with drug companies in charge of research?"

The new Workers' Compensation Drug Formulary restrictions on opioids combined with ongoing delays in surgery necessitate humane alternatives.

We are ready to work with you to find an answer.
