  • Chapter dues rebates monies were wired in September
  • On November 16 -18 Chapter 965, InstitutoTecnológico de Ciudad Madero, hosted the 7th Industrial and Engineering Forum. The theme was Innovation and Improvement.  
  • .Chapter 716, IIE Binus University Chapter, in Jakarta, Indonesia ,started out with 10 members and now has 60 members.  Congratulations!  Keep up the good work!
  •  Use the University Chapter Engagement Calendar to help you plan your fall and spring semester calendar
  • Chartered on 11/03/2016: Chapter 656, ASU - Applied Science University, in Amman, Jordan
  • Chartered on 11/04/2016: Chapter 655, Dawood University of Engineering & Technology in Pakistan

  • What international university chapter has the most members? It's Chapter 792, University of Jordan in Amman, Jordan, currently with 132 members. And still growing!  Most impressive- congratulations!
  • Current professional Chapter Health Report - Current University Chapter Health Report  For questions about your chapter's health status, contact Pam Patterson 
  • Chapter 736, Universidad Politécnica de San Luis Potosí in Mexico, holds  an Industrial Miss Ambassor Contest each year and sells tickets to the coronation. The winner receives monies to pay for one semester's tuition.

  •  In July IISE chartered the first IISE University Chapter in India, Chapter 660, Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur
  • Follow logo guidelines when creating your chapter logo and send your final design to Headquarters for approval. 
  • Recognize your outgoing officers with the Certificate of Appreciation.

What are Chapter Dues Rebates?

Professional chapters and university chapters receive a percentage of dues for every member who joins or renews during the period covered. When an international chapter's dues rebates reach $200 or more, IISE will wire the money to the chapter.

University Chapters 
  • Rebate monies are distributed twice a year. 
  • September monies are for January through August activity.
  • January monies are for September through December activity.
  • Only green and yellow chapters are eligible to receive dues rebates. Rebates for red chapters are withheld until the minimum requirements have been met. 
Professional Chapters
  • Rebate monies are distributed three times a year:
  • January through April - distributed in May
  • May through August - distributed in September
  • September through December - distributed in January
  • Only chapters with green or yellow status are eligible to receive dues rebate. Red chapters' rebates are withheld for one pay period until the minimum requirements have been met

IISE training goes to Mexico!  
 
On September 26-28 fifty-three students attended the Six Sigma Green Belt Course hosted by IISE University Chapter 952, ITESM - Guadalajara in Mexico.
IISE's  continuing education department has instituted a program through which we will come to your campus and present the green belt training immediately followed by IISE's certification examination. Contact Larry Aft for more information.

Make plans NOW to attend your regional conference!

Students can jump-start their careers with IISE's 2017 university regional conferences.  In addition to various competitions that allow the winners to present at the IISE Annual Conference and Expo 2017 in Pittsburgh,  attendees can network with and listen to speakers from industries, take plant tours to learn about processes and potential employers and start forming their own professional networks with other up-and-coming students.
