On November 15, the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), U.S. Forest Service (USFS) and Colorado Parks and Wildlife will host the last of three listening sessions giving the public the opportunity to provide preliminary comments on the land-use planning process for Brown's Canyon National Monument located in central Colorado. Established through  presidential proclamation  in February 2015, Browns Canyon's 21,586 acres currently serve the public as a popular destination for hunters and anglers along the Arkansas River corridor...

Recently, the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) announced its intent to clarify that a recreational shooting ban on 1,200 acres at North Menan Butte in eastern Idaho had not been intended to close hunting with a firearm in the designated area...

On October 27, the Pennsylvania House overwhelmingly voted in favor (160-25) of Pennsylvania House Bill 263, which will provide hunters the opportunity to use semiautomatic handguns and rifles to harvest game. PA HB 263 was introduced in February 2015 by Pennsylvania Legislative Sportsmen's Caucus member Representative Matt Gabler, and co-sponsored by six other Caucus members. The pro-sportsmen legislation passed out of the Senate on October 26, 2016 with a vote of 40-7. The bill is now headed to Governors Sportsmen's Caucus member Governor Tom Wolf's desk. CSF is working with Governor Wolf's office to ensure that the legislation is signed into law...

Reporting to the Senior Director of Events and Donor Relations, the Event Manager will coordinate and manage several events throughout the year. The ideal candidate will have experience planning events, and be willing to work in a fast-paced, team environment.  This is a mid-level, full-time salaried position with upward mobility potential. 

NASC Sportsman-Legislator Summit - Registration Now Open

Registration is now open for the 13th Annual National Assembly of Sportsmen's Caucuses (NASC) Sportsman-Legislator Summit. The Summit provides an opportunity for caucus members and partners to collaborate and devise year-long strategies to advance sportsmen's interests in state legislatures. This year, discussion topics include: lead ammunition bans, strategies for promoting the value of hunting and angling to the public, and key fisheries issues, among others. In addition, attendees will discuss the wide range of challenges currently facing America's sportsmen and women, along with the strategies necessary to overcome those challenges to protect and advance America's outdoor heritage, traditions, and sportsmen-generated conservation dollars in the years to come.
