Update from Our Newest Hospital Partner: Floating Hospital for Children at Tufts Medical Center
 
Hearts & Noses started our partnership with the Floating Hospital for Children at Tufts Medical Center in the fall of 2014 with four clowns in the pediatric unit. Shortly after that, we increased the time we spend there, and our visits now include the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and the Neely Bone Marrow Transplant Unit as well.  Read More

Clown Spotlight - Dana Savo aka YoYo
What is your favorite part of clowning?
I love being able to play! I love seeing and feeling the kids' excitement and joy when they see our red noses. I love the heart-to-heart connection I feel with the kids and I love the feeling of freedom I feel when I wear my nose. One of my clown teachers says the nose is the smallest mask that melts away all of the other ones we wear every day and I feel that when I clown.  Read More

Clowns in Action...

I n the pre-op waiting room, you often find anxious children and parents. Fifteen year old Jenny was signing for breakfast. Being developmentally delayed makes waiting for surgery even more difficult. Mom was trying to comfort a hungry, scared child and even her iPad, full of Jenny's favorite music, was only helping for a moment or two. Tic Toc joined in the music softly with her kazoo. Jenny's head shot up and she smiled. Twenty-five minutes and many songs about Jenny later, they were off to the pre-op area with Jenny smiling, riding the biggest float in the parade. Read More
