  THANK YOU REGENERON!

Forty volunteers from Regeneron Pharmaceuticals in Rensselaer arrived at our Wynantskill campus for an afternoon of service on Friday, October 14th.

Our enthusiast and dedicated volunteers took part in activities such as outdoor painting, clearing a one mile hiking trail and participating in a Fall craft project with some of our individuals.

Thank you again Regeneron
for making a difference in our Vanderheyden community!

FALL FESTIVAL FUN!

A picture perfect Fall day had hundreds attending Vanderheyden's 8th Annual Fall Festival open to the community on Saturday, October 15th.  The free event featured games, crafts, music, face painting, food, Rhonda's Reptiles, a petting zoo, pony rides and more!

Our President and CEO Karen Carpenter Palumbo welcomed the public to our Wynantskill campus.  She says "the event also helps the community to know that we are here to help youth, adults and families, and to see how we support them."

The event was also a way to convey to the public that Vanderheyden is an agency that is Sanctuary Certified, as we follow a model to create a culture of response that is non-violent and nurturing to all under our care.

TRAILBLAZING WITH THE NY INSURANCE ASSOCIATION

Vanderheyden was the very lucky recipient of 19 volunteers from the staff and members of the New York Insurance Association, Inc. in Albany on Tuesday, October 11th.

The volunteers spend hours on a one mile trail clearing project on our campus, as part of the  Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation's Week of Giving, October 8th to the 15th.

The trails that our volunteers so expertly cleared will allow for therapeutic and healing powers that only come from Mother Nature.

We are so grateful for the time and energy
the New York Insurance Association brought to Vanderheyden!
