How long have you been
in the Chamber profession
?
A little over a year

How long have you been in your current position?
Same

What do you love most about your job?
Interacting with the community and having the opportunity to be a part of the continued growth. Also, being able to work, stay, and play in my hometown is a huge plus.

Tell us about your most embarrassing Chamber moment.
Eh... not sure I've had one yet, but definitely don't want to jinx myself.

Who has had the biggest impact on your career and how
I have some awesome board members who have really helped me on all levels and I truly look up to. As a newbie in the chamber world they have impacted my start in this career in so many ways.

What is your Chamber's signature event?
I would say we have many but one that sticks out is the Kaolin Festival - A time when the entire community books the 2nd weekend in October as a set date. It's a fun community driven event with a parade, entertainment and class reunions. Lots of fellowship, good food and manicured yards!

What is your favorite vacation destination and why
My great grandparents built a lake home in the 50's in North Georgia and so I have ventured those roads my entire life for fun summers on the lake. It is a special place that now my children love. So I am a lake girl at heart and enjoy the beauty of the mountains.

Tell us about your family and what you like to do in your spare time...
My husband Brad and I have two children, Milledge (3) and Bo (2). We are in the toddler stage but transitioned from the baby stage and so can travel with a little more ease now. Life's busy, fun and ever changing and I like it that way!

When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
Um... A teacher. I like planning, organizing and talking. This in a way is just that only with a different audience.
