Trunk or Treat
Saturday, October 29, 4:00-6:00pm, Church Parking Lot
We will have bounce houses, games and treats.  Please make sure to register your car to make sure that we have enough trunk or treat participants.  You can register with Jennifer McDaniel or at the Connection Center.  
Operation Christmas Child
Boxes for Operation Christmas Child will be handed out Sunday, October 30th. Packing ideas and due date information will be included with your box.
All Saints Day
Sunday, November 6
If you have loved ones you would like to honor and remember please fill out a card at the Connection Center in the Narthex so we can include their names in our All Saints bulletin. Also place a bell on the banner that will be processed during both services.
October Aledo UMC Kids Mission Project
We will be collecting the following items for Blessing Bags: warm socks, warm gloves, $5 fast food gift cards, chapstick, beef jerky, granola/protein bars, bar soap, toothbrush, toothpaste, bottled water (8oz), travel size lotion, snack packages of crackers (cheese, peanut butter, etc), pocket size package tissues, Wet Wipes (package with 20 wipes). Items can be dropped off in marked bin in the Narthex.

Community Needs
Aledo Children's AdvoCats are seeking Angel Project Shoppers to ensure that children in need in Aledo ISD have a Merry Christmas. To adopt a child this Christmas, visit http://www.aledoadvocats. com/programs and scroll down to Angel Project. Deadline to adopt a child or family is Oct. 28th.
Moss Insurance Group in Aledo is sponsoring its eighth-annual food drive for the Parker County Center of Hope. Pick up bags at the Connection Center. Bags can be dropped off in the bin in the Narthex or returned to Moss Insurance Group, 705 FM 1187, by Oct. 31st.
Aqua Alert!
AUMC experienced a plumbing problem overnight Wednesday that resulted in severe flooding in several offices and the Chapel. Clean-up is continuing, and, as a result, the hallway between the Narthex and the kitchen is closed today. Children's Sunday School opeing and closing will be in the Gathering Room on the first floor of the Education Building. Access the Education Building and kitchen through the north doors of the Education Building, under the covered driveway.
