Hello Chamber Members and Colleagues,
As the summer comes to a close, it's back to school and work, however, the Melville Chamber of Commerce had never stopped or even slowed down. We had a full calendar of events and they were all well attended! That says a lot about our Chamber and the fantastic group of people involved, please refer to our
Event Gallery on the website to view photos of our latest Summer Networking Business After Hours Event "Nicky's on the Bay" and other past events from this summer.
We have great events and programs coming up in the next few months, starting off with our "Business Breakfast Series" on September 7th at the Hyatt Regency featuring a presentation from the American Red Cross. They will be speaking about the horrific flooding in Texas and tips for preparing your home and business. Information is power and the American Red Cross has done great work in times of need, please support the American Red Cross.
In addition to our popular Business Resource Roundtable and our Young Professions Group (YPG) events; the Women's Group in launching a series of events called "The Rhythm of Long Island Health, Wealth & Prosperity". The first event will be on September 27th with a presentation by the American Cancer Society here at the Melville Chamber Headquarters in the Catapano Assembly Hall. All are welcome both men and women to join us as we hear inspiring stories from an American Cancer Society Real Men Wear Pink Candidate, Health Care Professionals and Melville Chamber of Commerce Members.
Our next "Business After Hours Event" will be on September 28th at Simplay in Hauppauge. Simplay is short for Simulator Play and is Long Island's only multi-sport simulator facility. It is going to be a great opportunity to enjoy trying there 8 unit simulators while networking, a win win!
Our flagship annual "Business Expo" will be on October 25th at the Hilton Long Island/Huntington. Don't be left out, space is filling up quickly; we encourage everyone to register for your exhibitor space as soon as possible. Sponsorship and advertising opportunities are available, click here for more information. Please invite your friends & colleagues to attend as this year's "Business Expo" is going to have a diverse array of exhibitors, "Restaurant Row" featuring local eateries and plenty of special event extra's!
We look forward to another success year and I thank our Board of Directors Members, Executive Director, Ted Macaluso, Committees and volunteers for their hard work and dedication in making this organization an active relevant Chamber; and to all the quality people involved and attending our events!
Please don't hesitate to reach out to us with any feedback and/or suggestions, we are here to serve you!
