October 2017 Newsletter
From the director...
One of the challenges of providing good customer service in a public library is trying to meet the needs, as best we can, of ALL members, guests and visitors in our community.  We don't have a specific demographic. Our eyes and ears are always open as we develop our service plan with a focus to unite and provide opportunities to all ages, as well as educational and cultural desires.  It is a challenge, and yet it is our greatest strength, as a public institution. A sign I recently saw in a college library says it all: "This is a Library.  Inspiring discovery. Championing truth against rumor. Defending intellectual freedom. Protecting privacy.  Open to all.  This is a library."  Thank you to all of our members; you make it a pleasure to get up and go to work each day.
