Keeping you informed, involved, and inspired!
In the November issue
food-for-fines
During the week of November 28 - December 3, the library will forgive up to $1 in overdue fines for each non-perishable food item donated. All donated items must be undamaged and within their expiration date to benefit the food bank. Last year, patrons donated enough items to waive $1,166 in fines, and many people donated more food than was necessary to cover their own fines so we were able to keep the kindness going by waiving fines for patrons who weren't able to donate anything. This program benefits the library, our patrons, and many community organizations. Help us make this a successful endeavor again in 2016!

Out & About with the Library

Our foxy mascot, Arly, will be strutting (okay, riding in the library vehicle) through town in the West Jefferson Holiday Parade on Saturday, November 19,
at 3 pm. He'll be joined by a cast of characters celebrating Roald Dahl's 100th birthday.  Visit Arly's Den to learn more about this fantastic fox!

thankfulness
Albert-Schweitzer-quote
At the library, we always have many things for which we are thankful, and not surprisingly, we are often most thankful for the words of others transcribed and gifted to us in the form of literature. Click the button below  to view and place holds for books that fill our staff with gratitude.
