ASPEN AVIONICS announced the addition of an optional KFC 200 altitude preselect integration kit to the Aspen AML STC. The kit was developed and is distributed globally by Avionik Straubing of Germany. This FAA approval authorizes integration of the APS4A Altitude Preselect System with the Evolution Flight Display System, and enables the KFC200 autopilot to automatically capture the target altitude set using the EFD1000 altitude bug.
DMA AERO announced the PAMB10/11 precision pressure standard offering both pitot static and direct pressure/vacuum measurements throughout the atmospheric pressure range. With an accuracy of less than 2 feet at sea level, the instrument is considered a portable NIST traceable transfer standard which can be used to calibrate or validate air data test sets or aircraft instruments in the field, or simply measure barometric pressure with a very high precision.
GARMIN announced expanded electronic charting capabilities for Europe including the availability of European VFR terminal charts and European SafeTaxi airport diagrams for select Garmin aviation products.
SIERRA INDUSTRIES has been certified by the Mexican government aviation agency to service Mexican-registered aircraft. The Direcci�n General de Aeron�utica Civil (DGAC) presented certificate No. CO-038/12 to Sierra Industries representatives on April 4, permitting the company to inspect, repair and modify a wide variety of aircraft from piston singles to cabin-class business jets.
STEVENS AVIATION announced the addition of MIKE DAVIS as its avionics manager for the Greenville, S.C., facility.
ROBERT CLARE, director of sales for UNIVERSAL AVIONICS, announced that ROBERT RANDALL has been appointed to OEM sales manager. Randall is affiliated with Universal's U.S. midwest office in Wichita, Kan., with much of his work based out of a satellite office in Tulsa, Okla.

CASA Issues Revised Aircraft Type Ratings for CASR Part 66 Licenses
The Australian Government Civil Aviation Safety Authority has issued revised Advisory Circular 66-2(4): List of Aircraft Type Ratings For CASR Part 66 Licenses. It is now available on the CASA website.
This advisory circular provides guidance and information to personnel who seek or have a CASR Part 66 aircraft engineers license and approved maintenance organization who employ CASR Part 66 license holders. This is the fourth advisory circular to be issued on this subject.

AEA Members-Only Forum
The Aircraft Electronics Association launched an exclusive online forum for its members. The forum is a new, members-only benefit created by the AEA Programs and Member Services Committee.
The AEA Forum provides new opportunities for communication between members, associate members and the AEA staff. It is another free resource to help AEA members share news, ideas and information and request technical assistance from industry peers.
"With the speed of change in the avionics industry, having access to the latest information can give you the edge in the marketplace, and the AEA is excited to offer yet another free resource for its members to help gain that edge," said Mike Adamson, AEA vice president of member programs and education. "In the new AEA Forum, members can ask technical questions, share industry best practices and ultimately build a knowledge database that will enhance every user's expertise."
Topics for discussion include regulatory and certification issues; installation and troubleshooting items; as well as general discussion topics about all things avionics, instruments and AEA-related.
