(Sep 19) -- Self-regulatory organization FINRA (Financial Industry Regulatory Authority) filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission, for immediate effectiveness, a proposed rule change to delay the implementation date of certain amendments to FINRA Rule 4210 (margin requirements for Covered Agency Transactions) from Dec. 15, 2017 until Jun. 25, 2018,

(Sep 19) -- The Senate passed, by unanimous consent, H.R. 3110, which would allow the insurance expert who serves as a non-government member of the Financial Stability Oversight Council to continue to serve as long as 18 months after his or her term ends if there isn't a successor in place. The House passed the measure, now cleared for the president's signature, on Sept. 5.
