MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS GO TO KOIZI
Kindergarten & Second Grade Students go to Rice & Beans.

Natalie and Whitney H. were the winners of the Night of Knights Spanish certificate for a dinner with Sra Britt.  The girls visited a wonderful local Puerto Rican restaurant, Rice and Beans. Natalie's favorite food was the plantanos maduros y sorullitos de maiz, and Whitney loved the typical Puerto Rican drink, Malta India.  After dinner they returned to Sra Britt's Casa for a wonderful flan dessert.  The girls even played some games and  caught some fish with Sr Britt.  It was a wonderful evening and gracias to the Hepscher family for their gift to the school.
K-9 OFFICER VISIT
Second quarter chapel offerings will be designated for a special K-9 Officer and his colleagues.   The dog is a Chesapeake Bay Retriever named Chevy.

National Junior Honor Society (NJHS)
Sponsors yearly TOY DRIVE and Alphabet Day!

Please join us in a toy drive for Metropolitan Ministries!
We would like to be able to give a little something to those less fortunate than us and hopefully bring a little extra JOY this Christmas!

We are asking each student to bring in a NEW toy that is appropriate for their age group.

Please drop off your NEW toy in the bins labeled "TOYS" located in the Narthex.

To thank you for your generosity and kindness,
we will be celebrating with
ALPHABET DAY on Thursday, November 10th !

On Alphabet Day, you dress up like something/someone that starts with the first letter of your first name.
For example;
Brandon's name starts with the letter B; he is going to dress up like a Banana!
Lisa's name starts with the letter L; she is going to dress up like a Lion!
Mrs. Snow's name starts with the letter S; she is going to dress up like Sunshine!

So start bringing in those NEW toys
for children less fortunate than yourself
and get ready to celebrate on Alphabet Day.

Our PTL purchased mini clocks and maracas for our Spanish curriculum.  What a treat!

THANK YOU PTL!

DRAMA CLUB

Students in Drama Club performed for their parents in special Drama Club shirts.

WE NEED YOU!!!!!

The Great American teach-In will be held during the week of November 14th-18th. We would like to have as many people involved as possible. We are asking parents, community members, business owners, and friends to make plans now to be a part of this tradition for Family of Christ.

In order to volunteer to present at the Teach-In, we just need YOU!!! You don't need teaching experience, just a desire to share your experiences, your hobby, or your career with our children. We want you to carry some key messages into our classrooms, including the importance of working hard in school and completing an education.

The Great American Teach-In is a perfect opportunity for parents, business leaders, and community members to let our students know that we care about them. The idea is simple- just join us when you can on either Nov. 14th, 15th, 16th, 17th, or 18th, and teach a class or two, whatever your time permits. Give yourself about 30 minutes for each presentation that you would like to do.

Simply let your child's teacher know that you would like to participate by sending in the form sent  home in family folders and available at the office. If you know someone with an interesting career or hobby, please pass this information along. Your child's teacher or a staff member will get with you to confirm a time to come in during the week. Please remember that you can present to other grades in addition to your child's class. If you have any questions please email Melissa Gembarowski at mgembarowski@familyofchristtampa.com.

Please return your  forms to the school office.
