Finance News
Giving Statements for the first 8 months of 2017
You should have received your giving statements this week. When you receive your statement please review your giving to make sure it is on track and correctly recorded by us. If you have any questions regarding your giving statement please contact Mike Crewdson, Director of Finance at (206) 232-5595.

As of August, we are on track to meet our budgeted pledge goal. Thank you to everyone who has been giving to the church this year. This money is making a difference as the church lives out its mission every day.

Per Capita
One ask we make of members each year is to help the church with the per capita bill - that is the "membership dues" that the church is asked to pay to the Presbytery as we support the larger body in the church. Our request is $41 per member. If you are a member of the church, would you please consider helping support our $32,000 obligation to the Seattle Presbytery this year? Thank you!

Upcoming Activities & Events

Children are invited to join the Mercer Island Presbyterian Church Kindergarten through 3rd Grade Choir! Rehearsals are on Sundays, October 1 through April 1, from 4:00 - 4:50 pm in the choir room. Led by our organist, William Bryant.

 Rummage Sale News
Never too soon to be thinking about the Rummage Sale (May 11-12). For our organization purposes, the Rummage Sale team needs large clear plastic bins and portable shelving. Please take to the Youth Office hallway. Sorry, no other donations at this time!
Experience The Faiths of Our Neighbors
MIPC Announces Visits to Experience the Faiths of Our Neighbors
Last spring our Growing In Faith class hosted "The Faiths of Our Neighbors" - a series of speakers from the other major world religions, sharing their faiths with us. In 2017-2018, we will have opportunities to visit and experience some of the major annual festivals and holidays of the faiths of our neighbors. These will be very special and unique chances to share amazing celebrations with Sikhs, Bahai, Muslims, Jews, Buddhists and Hindus. Watch for more details coming soon!
Unknown and Knowing
During September and October, MIPC is showing the work of artist Brad Namie in the courtyard. Brad's art represents the convergence of significant dreams, life events, and influences from devotional literature. Unknowing and Known explores aspects of being known by our Creator and knowing God as revealed in Jesus Christ. And yet, while knowing, we come in contact with the infinite, eternal One who extends beyond our finite senses. The artist invites you into his personal search for a deeper knowing.
Tuesday Morning Men's Bible Study
We meet on Tuesdays at 7:00am in the Fireside Room. Please contact Tim Hamp for more information ([email protected]) .
Sanctuary Flowers
Please consider offering a floral arrangement to honor a special occasion or just because you love what flowers do for our spirits. Sign up in the narthex or contact [email protected] and she will help you make it happen.
