Join the conversation... Strategic Planning at The College at Brockport

A strategic planning process at The College at Brockport has been underway since early 2016.  One of the four "pillar" sub-committees, focused on "community," is looking for input from the public.  Forums will be held on  Tuesday, Nov. 1 , at the College's Alumni House (142 Utica Street), and
Wednesday, Nov. 2, at the Rochester Educational Opportunity Center (REOC), 161 Chestnut Street in Rochester.  Both sessions will be held between 5:30 and 6:30 pm for the public to comment.

Biennial Mission Summit Performance Application  The deadline to apply is November 15

Dear Friends,

You may have noticed the paid advertisement placed in in the October 16th edition of The Democrat and Chronicle. The ad was in response to the circulation of white supremacist literature, which has been spread in two suburbs of Rochester in recent weeks.

No doubt these flyers are in response to the "Black Lives Matter" movement. Many in the White community have decried this campaign as exclusionary. I know a few have labeled it as racist.

We will have a reception for her in the Community Room following the service. 
 Brockport First Baptist Church, 124 So. Main St., will continue offering the free community dinner, The Gathering Table, on Sunday, November 20, 2016, 1:00 - 2:30 p.m.  All members of the community are invited to join us for dinner and conversation. Two new programs will be introduced at the November dinner:  Study Hour for school-age kids and a Teen Closet which will provide clothing free of charge for teens and pre-teens.  Everyone is invited to join for this monthly dinner and companionship.
