I'm really looking forward to this coming Sunday, as Dave Eubank will be in worship with us, sharing about his ministry with
Free Burma Rangers
. You can also sign up for a lunch with the Eubanks
here
.
What are you doing this week to
follow
Jesus? In case you missed it, here is my sermon on Matthew 4:18-22.
Jesus is not interested in admiration; he wants us to be his disciples. This will mean loss for the sake of the Gospel, and it should also mean being a part of reproducing other disciples.
Remember, we're still looking for a few more volunteers for our children's ministry, especially at 11:00. If you can help out, even just one Sunday a month, you'd make a big difference! Contact
Heather Henry, our Director of Children's Ministry.
See you Sunday!
Peace,
Pastor Jeff
Jeff Hoffmeyer, Senior Pastor La CaƱada Presbyterian Church
We also encourage you to connect through the following events:
Join the Eubank family, recently back from Mosul, Iraq, to hear stories of rescue and heroism in one of the world's most dangerous places. You can watch one of those stories
here.
Click on slide above for more information and to register for lunch and childcare.
We were never intended to go it alone. God designed every one of us for community, and from the beginning, God said it was not good for humankind to be alone. It is in authentic and caring community, a place of interactions and relationships, that we flourish and grow.
Click on the slide above for more information and to sign up for a Small Group.
Please join us for a Service of Installation and Celebration of Community as we install our new Senior Pastor, Jeff Hoffmeyer. Please bring something to sit on (lawn chairs, blankets). There will be a few chairs available. Dress comfortably. Light reception to follow (also at the Park). If you have mobility/accessibility issues, the Deacons will be transporting people between the LCPC parking lot and Memorial Park.
We invite you to join us as we examine the differences between a life lived for God and a life lived for self. General Admission: $15; Students and Seniors: $10; Groups of 12+: $5 each.
More information and tickets available by clicking on the slide above.
Our Chancel Choir rehearses on Thursdays at 7:30PM in the Burcham Rehearsal Hall.
New members are welcome on all parts. Anyone with a tuneful voice is welcome to join. Prior choral experience is helpful, but not necessary. No audition is required. The sole prerequisite is a love of praising God through musical worship and ministry.
It is a great way to make friends, worship God and make music at the same time!
