The typical investment advisor has little knowledge of the world of mergers and acquisitions. We have a unique presentation on how businesses identify a potential partner, negotiate a purchase or sale and the legal documents that are part of a typical transaction. Our presenters, M&A Advisor  Liz Nesvold , founder and Managing Partner of Silver Lane Advisors, and Attorney  Reed Balmer , a partner at Finn Dixon & Herling, both have many years of experience in facilitating transactions in our industry.
 
Liz will begin this 90-minute presentation speaking on the "dance" that buyers and sellers typically go through and discuss the qualitative and quantitative aspects of a successful transaction. Next Reed will talk about the legal documents and considerations that are involved and give some examples of deals that worked and some that didn't. Liz will conclude with a discussion of current trends in the industry (it is projected that 25% of advisors will likely retire in the next ten years).  We will leave time for Q&A to answer your questions.
